We are on an indefinite break while we focus on supporting and empowering our own 'Montessori child' with his transition to primary school. We are not accepting online orders at this time. Listings remain visible to help inspire ideas for Montessori-friendly resources. We encourage you to seek out other retailers to purchase those items. IF YOU HAVE A GIFT CERTIFICATE we are still honouring these and will manually process your order. Simply look through our listings to identify the resources you'd like to order, then email jessica@samontessori.com.au with this wish-list and quoting your gift certificate code. PROFESSIONAL RESOURCES can also be ordered by emailing jessica@samontessori.com.au. Only orders to redeem GIFT CERTIFICATES or for PROFESSIONAL RESOURCES will be processed via email. Other orders will not be accepted and general enquiries may not receive a response. Thank you for all the support over the years, we wish you the very best for your own Montessori journey and appreciate that you have been a part of ours!

Mini Mighty Magnet

$6.00

Handy tool for the young scientist!

This mini but mighty Magnet holds so many opportunities for exploration and experimentation! Children love to learn about magnetism - testing various objects to see if they are 'magnetic' or even holding two magnets together to compare the sensations of opposite poles 'attracting' and two of the same poles 'repelling'.

The Mini Mighty Magnet measures approximately 12cm x 12cm. It is available in 6 colours - please remember to choose your preference from the drop-down menu!
The small size of the Mini Mighty Magnet allows it to fit perfectly on activity trays or in presentation baskets!

There are so many ways this tool could be used but to get you started please see our gallery for an example of a simple sorting exercise. You can make or arrange printed labels reading 'magnetic' and 'non-magnetic' to help with sorting activities (please see our gallery images for an example of how this activity can be arranged). You will also receive a series of small printed labels, also reading 'magnetic' and 'non-magnetic', so that your child can progress to testing objects found around the home (or classroom) and labelling them. These labels not only help to inspire and guide some scientific learning experiences but also help to highlight the relation between interesting concepts and written words. You may be amazed by how quickly children start to independently recognise the words on the labels!
