A perfect way to blend sensory appreciation of colour with the fine motor experience of threading. This beautiful set features 18 coloured discs and a thread sitting snugly in a wooden tray. It is the ideal 'first threading' activity for toddlers (but can also be enjoyed by preschoolers as a more deliberate patterning / sequencing exercise).

The set features 18 coloured discs in six colours; red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. Each colour has three sizes; small, medium and large. The colour and size options ensure that the child can experiment with many different patterns. They also provide the opportunity for the adult to subtly introduce sensory concepts and language by naming the colours or sizes.

The thread features a wooden tip which scaffolds the child for success and also promotes the 'pincer' grip. The base of the thread consists of a wooden stopper that will ensure that the discs will stay where they belong. 

The tray measures approximately 22.5 x 22.5cm and at a depth of 3cm it is a satisfyingly precise and perfect fit for the discs.
