The Tile Toppers must be paired with a set of Magnetic Tiles (they are not magnetic on their own).
The Tile Toppers transform the Magnetic Tiles to introduce a wide range of different literacy learning opportunities. A child might start simply by identifying the letter sounds individually, or recognising a phonetic letter and matching it to an object (or handmade magnetic picture!) with that initial sound. As a child's literacy knowledge progresses, the Tile Toppers can be used like a Moveable Alphabet to start building short phonetic words (otherwise known as CVC words) - like c-a-t or d-o-g. Eventually more challenging extensions can be introduced, like linking multiple words together in a crossword style formation!
