Australian Animals Sorting Set and PDF Card

 Provide a great introduction to our unique Australian animals with fifteen "museum quality" replicas.

The set is designed to promote a focus on the habitat and environment of Australian animals. The animals can be sorted according to whether they reside in the water, the land or the sky. The set also encourages an element of grammar in the consideration of the 'verb' of movement - swim in the water, walk on the land or fly in the sky. 

For your convenience the set comes with a pre-designed PDF for you to print. This includes a a table (approximately A4 size) featuring columns for 'swim in the water', 'walk on the land' and 'fly in the sky' as well as three smaller cards featuring these titles without columns. This provides multiple options for presentation styles. The complete table could be presented on a tray as a self-contained sorting set or the individual cards could be separated to focus on one element (or two) at a time.
If the individual cards are used we recommend placing the card beside a small basket or bowl to contain the relevant animals.

The cards are designed by Montessori Child's own Jessica Langford, based on the sets used in her own Montessori Pre-school classroom. We send you the PDF so that you can print these at home and have the flexibility of making copies, replacements or resizes as you desire. 

Set includes: Humpback Whale, Southern Right Whale, Dolphin, Shark, Sealion, Tasmanian Devil, Wombat, Koala, Kangaroo, Numbat, Pelican, Sulphur Crested Cockatoo, Black Cockatoo, Kookaburra and Rainbow Lorikeet.

 

Please note: For illustrative purposes the set is pictured in our photo gallery with the Small Basket with Handle. This basket is not included in the set but can be purchased separately as an ideal container for the Australian animals. Please also be advised that since the photographs were taken the set has been updated to include a Numbat in place of the earlier Echidna.
